Please give what you can afford. Your donation helps to sustain local history.

The role of the Giles County Historical Society is not simply to preserve the past -- though that is an important part of our mission. Rather, our purpose is to connect people living today to the people, the events, and the ways of life that have shaped our community over its long history.

At times like these, that mission could not be more important. Although we have learned that there are many differences between the economic turmoil we are experiencing today, and the Market Crash of 1929, there is a special comfort to be gained from the stories of men and women just like us, living where we are living, who coped, survived, and recovered from hard times.

The generous donations of members and other interested persons and businesses are critical because they help the Historical Society to make this connection between past and present.

We urge you to take a moment to consider making a donation to the Society so that people in our community can continue to learn about and be inspired by the past.

Donor-Restricted Gifts

Donor-restricted gifts, which can be earmarked to support specific projects or programs (such as the Barn Fund or our Christmas Open House) or for specific purposes (such as computer upgrades, library purchases, etc.) are entirely welcome. Periodically the Society may issue a call for wanted support for a special purpose.
